XML generator for Microsoft Merchant Center and Microsoft Advertising

XML feed generator for Microsoft Merchant Center and Microsoft Advertising in PrestaShop

The Microsoft Merchant Center generator available in PriceWars II lets you create an XML feed containing products from your PrestaShop store for use in Microsoft Merchant Center and Microsoft Advertising product campaigns.

From one place, you can provide the data needed to build your product catalog: prices, availability, variants, product identifiers, categories, images and delivery information.

Instead of manually preparing data for another advertising channel, you configure the generator in PriceWars II and use the information already available in your store.

What do you get?

  • The ability to create multiple XML feeds
    You can prepare separate files for different Microsoft Merchant Center accounts, languages, currencies, stores or selected parts of your catalog.
  • A preconfigured generator
    You do not need to build the export structure from scratch. Default settings help you launch the feed faster, while additional options let you customize it later.
  • Control over the catalog sent to Microsoft Advertising
    You decide which products, categories and information should be included in the catalog used by your product campaigns.
  • Automated data preparation
    After saving the configuration, the generator can update the feed using current store data without requiring you to create every export manually.
  • Support for product variants
    Each attribute combination can be provided as a separate item, allowing campaigns to work with more precise information about your offer.

Create multiple independent feeds for Microsoft Merchant Center

Multiple independent XML feeds for Microsoft Merchant Center

One store does not have to mean one XML file. You can create multiple generators and configure each of them independently for a specific use of your product catalog.

Separate feeds can be prepared for different Microsoft Merchant Center accounts, countries, languages, currencies, stores or selected product groups.

This makes it easier to separate catalogs and advertising activities without manually copying, filtering and modifying one large file before every export.

Automate Microsoft Advertising feed updates

Automated Microsoft Merchant Center product feed updates

A product feed is most useful when it reflects the current offer in your store. Once the generator is configured, PriceWars II reduces the amount of manual work required to prepare subsequent versions of the file.

The updated XML can include current prices, availability, descriptions and information assigned to individual products and variants.

You therefore make changes primarily where you work every day — in your store — while the generator prepares the data for further use in Microsoft Merchant Center.

Control which products are sent to Microsoft Advertising

Filtering products exported to Microsoft Merchant Center and Microsoft Advertising

Not every product needs to be promoted through Microsoft Advertising. PriceWars II lets you build a feed that matches your sales strategy instead of automatically sending your entire catalog.

You can select exported categories and exclude products that are:

  • inactive;
  • missing a manufacturer code;
  • missing an EAN13 code;
  • used or refurbished;
  • without a required promotion or minimum discount;
  • without an assigned manufacturer;
  • below or above a specified price;
  • not meeting specified inventory conditions.

This allows you to focus the catalog on products you actually want to use in your campaigns instead of sending every item available in your store to Microsoft Merchant Center.

Select or exclude individual products

Automatic filters are not always enough. You can also select individual products that should be included in or excluded from the export.

Individual items can be excluded using the free PriceWars Blacklist module. This provides a convenient way to manage exceptions without rebuilding categories, changing prices or modifying the remaining feed rules.

Map store categories for Microsoft Merchant Center

Mapping PrestaShop categories for Microsoft Merchant Center

The category structure prepared for customers in your store is not always the right structure for an external product catalog. PriceWars II lets you associate PrestaShop categories with product categories provided in the feed.

You do not need to rebuild your store category tree solely for Microsoft Merchant Center. You can keep the structure that is convenient for customers and configure product classification for the export separately.

For larger catalogs, this means less manual work and more control over how individual product groups are represented in the data sent to Microsoft Advertising.

Export variants as separate feed items

Exporting product combinations to Microsoft Merchant Center

Do you sell a product in several colors, sizes or other variants? Each attribute combination can be exported as a separate item in the XML file.

Individual variants can provide their own prices, product identifiers, availability and other information assigned to a specific combination.

This means that the catalog used by Microsoft Advertising can work with more precise data instead of treating all product versions as one identical offer.

Adapt product names for Microsoft Advertising campaigns

Creating product names for Microsoft Merchant Center and Microsoft Advertising

A product name that works well on a product page does not always contain all the information you want to provide in an external catalog. The generator lets you independently define how product names are created for the XML feed.

You can:

  • export the standard product name;
  • add selected attributes or features to the name;
  • prepare your own product name template;
  • use the manufacturer, color, size, capacity or another product feature in the template;
  • apply transformation rules to selected parts of the product name.

You can therefore prepare more informative names for the feed without changing the product titles customers see directly in your store.

Build product descriptions from data you already have

Creating product descriptions for Microsoft Merchant Center

PriceWars II can provide the standard product descriptions from your store or prepare content according to a template you define.

If a product does not have a suitable description, you can use its features and attributes. This allows information already available in your catalog to help create more complete product data without manually writing separate content for every item.

This is particularly useful for large catalogs, where manually preparing separate marketing data for hundreds or thousands of products quickly becomes time-consuming.

Provide complete product data to Microsoft Merchant Center

Product identifiers, prices, availability, delivery and categories in a Microsoft Merchant Center feed

Depending on the configuration, the XML feed can collect the most important information required to identify, classify and present your product offer in one place.

  • Product identifiers
    EAN13, ISBN, UPC/JAN and manufacturer codes help identify individual products.
  • Names and descriptions
    You can use standard store data or content prepared using your own export templates.
  • Product prices
    The generator lets you define how prices are provided according to the configuration prepared for a specific feed.
  • Availability and inventory
    You can control how current product availability is represented in the exported data.
  • Delivery costs
    Delivery-related information can be included in the feed to the extent supported by the selected format.
  • Product categories
    You can export category information and map your store structure to the classification used in an external product catalog.
  • Product labels
    Additional labels help organize your catalog and create logical product groups for later use in advertising activities.

Control availability and delivery information

Product availability and delivery costs in Microsoft Merchant Center

PriceWars II provides options that let you control how inventory information is represented in the generated product feed.

You can adapt the data sent to Microsoft Merchant Center without changing the actual stock levels stored in PrestaShop.

Delivery cost information can also be included in the feed when it has been properly configured for the selected export.

Support multiple languages, currencies and stores

The generator supports multiple languages and currencies as well as the Multistore environment. You can prepare separate XML files for different store versions, markets, catalogs or Microsoft Merchant Center accounts.

Each generator can have its own configuration. This means one PriceWars II installation can handle different export scenarios while you retain control over which products and data are provided to each feed.

Extend the XML feed structure

Formatting data in a Microsoft Merchant Center XML feed

Advanced PriceWars II options let you format selected data and prepare your own product name and description templates for export.

You can also add new tags to the XML file. This makes it easier to adapt the exported data structure to your own processes, additional requirements or further feed processing.

The Microsoft Advertising generator is part of PriceWars II

The Microsoft Merchant Center feed generator is not a separate, independent module. It is one of the XML formats available as part of PriceWars II.

By owning or purchasing a PriceWars II Light or PriceWars II Advanced license, you receive access to the generator with the functionality provided by the selected license version.

A comparison of the Advanced and Light versions is available on the main PriceWars II module page.
