Consent Mode v2 & Cookie – Consent management

SEIGI Cookie Consent updated to ConsentMode v2

Version 2.0 introduces three major changes

  • Support for ConsentMode v2 – both with our GA4 integration via SEIGI Tag Manager (recommended) and third-party modules.
  • Option to block browsing until consents are accepted.
  • A cookie icon that lets users update their consents at any time (legal requirement).

CMPs – Consent Management Platform

Our solution is a Consent Management Platform (CMP) giving you full control over managing user consents on your website. A CMP collects, stores, and manages consent for personal-data processing in line with privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.

With our CMP you can easily adapt your site to legal requirements, providing users with transparency and control over their data. Users can manage preferences for cookies and other tracking technologies, which builds trust and improves UX.

The platform integrates with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 for accurate tracking and analysis while maintaining compliance. With our CMP, consent management is simple and effective.

Aligned with Google’s guidelines

A properly implemented consent module (per Google’s guidance) should initially reject all consents. We verified our module using Google’s TagAssistant, which shows in real time whether consents are correctly accepted and their current state.

This allowed us to build a solution that follows Google’s best practices for implementing ConsentMode v2.

Accepting consents in our module updates them dynamically (without page reload – so it doesn’t disrupt GA4 statistics) and applies all necessary consents.

Other implementations that reload the page may be misinterpreted by Google and lead to data loss (e.g., source attribution). That’s why dynamic updates matter.

Each consent category in our module enables the relevant Google consent signals.

In addition to the four basic consents, we also included three optional ones, grouped into three categories:

  • Performance & Analytics – ad_storage and analytics_storage
  • Ad Personalization – ad_user_data and ad_personalization
  • Site Personalization – functionality_storage and personalization_storage
  • Security – security_storage

Support for LiteSpeed / JPresta Ultimate Cache

Compatible with JPresta Cache and LiteSpeed Cache

We know speed matters. Our module is optimized for performance and was designed to be fully compatible with OnePageCache modules. It works 100% seamlessly with page-acceleration add-ons.

The module was built to work fully with any One Page Cache.

We support both JPresta PageCache Ultimate and LiteSpeed Cache – they will work with our module without issues.

Most importantly, no page reload is required. Everything is fully dynamic, minimizing the risk of losing important analytics data.

Compatibility with other modules

You can use our module to manage user consent and it will work with virtually any GA4 integration module that correctly implements Google tags.

We focused on first-class integration with our GA4 Integration module so both modules remain fully compatible and communicate smoothly.

No worries! To work with other modules, it’s a single setting – flip it and you’re good to go.
